DJ Sbu recently delivered a lecture to MBA and PhD students at Harvard University in America. He used the opportunity to market himself and his book.
He placed copies of his books in the lecture room and told the stunned students that the books were no free and that they would have to pay for them.
"Yes, you will give me $10 because if you get things for free you don't value it. You need to pay $10 for that book and read it."

With the current exchange rate, the number of books (100) DJ Sbu handed out he would have made almost R12 000 from the students.
"Sorry, but I had to pick up those dollars. It's called planting a seed. If I could have this whole room consuming my products, it means it's possible to have the whole world consuming our African brands," he explained.
