Video clips of an Eastern Cape man attacking police are going viral on social media circles and have attracted raving responses.

Dispatch Live has it that an unnamed man allegedly stabbed a 55-year-old man to death while leaving four other victims wounded and was captured on film as he was being apprehended attacking police after the rampage.

According to the comments on the video, it seems the incident took place in the northern region of the Eastern Cape in the Aliwal North area.

Briefly News previously reported that South African police were attacked when they tried to confiscate liquor from an unlicensed liquor outlet in Muldersdrift.

The suspect running the establishment was set to be charged with contravening the Gauteng Liquor Board legislation for trading in liquor without a licence and contravening the Disaster Management Act for selling alcohol after 11pm.

This website had gathered that when the police arrived, patrons allegedly attacked the two officers and torched their vehicle.
