The draw against West Ham has left the Seagulls placed 17th on the log table with 38 points from 36 games.

Briefly News previously reported that Tau had his official debut for Brighton & Hove Albion in a Premier League match against Manchester City on Wednesday, 13 January.

The forward reportedly displayed flashes of his skills. City came out on top after Phil Foden scored in the 44th minute, securing a narrow defeat over Brighton.

However, Brighton's manager Graham Potter had some positive words about Tau but admitted that being on constant defence made it difficult for Tau to display his full attacking ability.

TimesLive reported that Potter said there were glimpses of Tau's ability during his debut, adding that the 26-year-old would get better the longer he works with Brighton. KickOff reported that Tau spoke positively of his experience, stating that it was only a matter of time before Brighton raked in their wins.
