Mamelodi Sundowns skipper Hlompho Kekana says they will celebrate once they find the back of the net against Al Ahly this coming weekend.

Kekana is expected to feature for the Brazilians as they welcome the Red Devils on Saturday in their return leg of the CAF Champions League clash.

Sundowns are still licking their wounds following a 2-0 defeat at the hands of coach Pitso Mosimane’s troops in Cairo last Saturday.

In football, it is a sign of respect to never celebrate when you score against a former team, but Kekana says he has never played for their next opponents and has no reason not to rejoice.

Speaking to reporters as per KickOff, ‘KK’ said the highly anticipated match is a big contest for the Tshwane giants. He said:

"Ja, I was never an Al Ahly player before, so I'll have to celebrate. Coach Pitso knows, coaches move all the time – we saw Benni [McCarthy], now at AmaZulu, how he celebrated after beating [his former team] Cape Town City.
"So, we will have to celebrate, it's a match that we really need to celebrate. It's a big match for the club; it's a big match for the players and it will obviously mean more [to score in] than any other match."

Despite the fact that coach Manqoba Mngqithi prefers the likes of Siphelele Mkhulise and Andile Jali in the heart of the park, Kekana remains a key figure at Chloorkop.
