The sportsman comes from a hockey family; therefore, Filip Hallander parents are supportive of his career. He is the son of Patrik Hållander, a former professional Swedish hockey player (active from the early 1980s to early 1990s). Patrik then became an assistant bench boss on Timrå’s U16 team and helped coach his son's team during the 2015-16 campaign.
