Cape Town painted the streets of Green Point in all shades of color

Cape Town’s infamous Cape Town Carnival took place on Saturday, March 17, and it was nothing less than spectacular.

Green Point came alive with color and festivities. The carnival was celebrated far and wide. The mother city brought it.

Splashes of color wear painted across all social media platforms.

This year was themed "Mother City Mother Nature". Beautiful creations of queen bees, towering puppet rhinos, giant street-side grocers, drum majorettes, Helen Zille in an "Ayoba" coat, enormous floral-headed floats, and glowing "Mother Nature" figures, were scattered across the streets in true spirit of celebrating the cities diverse array of color.

It shows to have been a truly spectacular evening in all essences.
