South African Finance Minister Tito Mboweni was recently heard in a clip candidly sharing his thoughts on former president Jacob Zuma's continuous defiance of the ConCourt's ruling that he must appear in front of the Zondo Commission.

According to Mboweni, Jacob Zuma must go to court and prove his innocence. Mboweni seemingly echoes the words of many South Africans who have also called upon Zuma to prove that he is not guilty of corruption.

"He needs to subject himself to the court processes and prove his innocence," said Mboweni in the clip.

Locals had this to say:

@DPricing said:

"You all know that Tito is lying about working "that close" with @PresJGZuma right? He was nowhere close as he claims. He makes stuff up! Many comrades who were there will testify!"

@Botik61945648 said:

"President Zuma is being treated unfairly by the justice system. @CyrilRamaphosa has stopped funding Zuma's legal representatives. It must also be known that Tito is very unpopular among the black community in South Africa."

@slydecks said:

"Zuma is not interested in subjecting himself to the courts. He disrespected the 'State Capture commission of Inquiry', refused to cooperate with @ConCourtSA. Send the man to prison."

Briefly News also reported that Ace Magashule recently showed up at the Pietermaritzburg Court in KwaZulu-Natal to show support for fellow corruption-accused politician Jacob Zuma, who appeared in court for day one of his corruption trial.

While Magashule and Supra Mahumapelo were there to support Zuma, the usual big crowd seemed to have decided against showing up outside the KZN court, which had been cordoned off by many police officials.

This did not sway Magashule from standing firm in his support of Magashule and was heard telling reporters that Zuma was the president of the ANC and therefore needed to be supported at all times, reported News24.
