A grandmother is celebrating her show of persistence and courage after she finally grabbed a Master's degree at age 86.

In recent times, the elderly have been showing great zeal in achieving their dreams at an age many would expect them to sit and wait for their time.

A tweep identified as @iamwill_johnson has one of those people in his family, his grandmother, who recently graduated with a Master's degree from a university in the USA.

Sharing a photo of his granny in a graduation gown with a scarf written "Class of 2021" and a huge smile on her face, the man praised her for being 86 and still graduating from school.

He urged netizens to show some respect for the master's achiever and thanked her for teaching him how to be a student in every situation.

"My granny is 86 and graduating from school again! Put some respect on that masters. Thank you for teaching me how to always be a student granny franny," he wrote.

In a video on her grandson's Instagram, the granny thanked God for pushing and seeing her through the graduate program.

Social media fans praised Johnson's gran for the achievement, noting she is an example that there is never an expiry date for any exploit.
