Shauwn "MaMkhize" Mkhize, a KwaZulu-Natal entrepreneur and reality TV star, took to social media on Sunday to confront the "abuse" her family and family-owned soccer team Royal AC experienced.

This was after the soccer team secured the PSL promotion from the lower tier to the big league in dramatic fashion. The drama and theatrics on the final day of the lower tier's season took place when Royal AM won the point they needed to gain automatic promotion, this attracted headlines.

They were unable to rejoice, however, since the Pietermaritzburg-based club's celebrations were clouded by controversy over a pending judgement involving rivals Sekhukhune United over points.

Shauwn Mkhize addressed the hate and controversy surrounding Royal AM and is hurt by the fans comments online.

“Last night we made history! The royal chair is ours! What was undoubtedly a nail-biting match resulted in us remaining on top of the log. But I never thought winning the league will be this painful. Sometimes being a woman in a man’s territory is difficult," she said.

Mam'Mkhize then said that she's proud of her son and the chairman Andile Mpisane for the big win.

Briefly News previously reported that Shauwn Mkhize wants to run for president and says everyone will be rich. Businesswoman and socialite Shauwn Mkhize has expressed an interest in running for the highest office in the country.
