A 78 year old South African man is part of this community. He dresses up as a latex doll named Spirit.

'Spirit' is part of a global subculture called ‘female maskers’ and it is growing rapidly. People in this society wear latex or silicone masks, torsos and body suits to make them look like the female dolls.

The doll-like masks are generally immobile and this comes across more like a female mannequin rather than that of a real female. Their entire bodies are covered in latex and they wear high heels with their outfits.

Latex is a tricky material to be fully covered in as it is not breathable and can be extremely uncomfortable in warmer climates.
