Actor and TV personality Fezile Makhanya is literally charming the wits out of everyone on and off the screen.
His latest role as Tebogo on the soapie The Queen has got many people talking. Tebogo sweeps Kea off her feet, but soon reveals his own insecurities and manipulative character.
Fezile also stars as Donald on 1Magic's drama series, Unmarried. He has also appeared in the soapie Backstage, crime series Jozi Streets, and soccer drama series Zone 14.
Fezile has also had cameo roles on Generations and Gaz’lam. Besides his acting roles, he has also been a TV presenter and an SABC1 brand ambassador between 2006 and 2008.
The 33-year-old fell in love with sports, especially rugby and athletics, at a young age while growing up in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
He moved to Johannesburg and obtained a Bcom in Business Management with specialization in Financial and Marketing from UNISA.
Fezile hosted Countdown 2010 on SABC in preparation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He also hosted the E.TV sports game show, No Sweat Golden Goal, from June to September 2009.
The popular and versatile actor has played many more roles in well-known TV drama series, including Ekasi: Our Stories, Tempy Pushas, Inkaba, and Rockville.
In a recent interview with DRUM, Fezile said he readily accepted his latest role on The Queen:
I was excited when Ferguson Films approached me for the role. I have been wanting to play a character that has been the opposite to what I have played before.
I always wanted something challenging, a character that I can build to be anything and Tebogo is my Sasha Fierce.
