Floyd Shivambu, the deputy commander of the EFF, has shared his opinion on the Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Arthur Zwane. He wants Zwane to the Kaizer Chiefs to appoint Zwane as head coach to lead the Chiefs to glory in the CAF semi-finals, finals and beyond.
Shivambu is a die-hard Amakhosi fan and thinks that Zwane has the right stuff after the last two Chiefs victories.
"Well done Coach Arthur Zwane! The demand now is to keep him as the Head Coach of @KaizerChiefs for the CAF Semifinals and Finals (+ ⭐️), MTN8, and next PSL Season. #ArthurZwaneForHeadCoach!"
Reactions from social media users
Not everyone agreed with Shivambu but some did. This is what they had to say.
"Arthur Zwane is the reason why Pirates isn't winning major cups, he has a negative influence on players."
"Lol I don't get why people love blaming Bobby when the team goes through a bad spell and when the team is doing they never give him due credit."
"No I disagree with u leader, the team hasn't bn winning cups for the past 4 or so seasons pressure will be way too much for him, they won't be any room to learn and improve, it will be career suicide for him remember the team will be relatively new as well."
"Didn't he learn enough when he was doing coaching lessons, I wanted him to be a head coach before they can even hire Hunt, this guy has done so well at our MDC team. If Barcelona didn't give Pep a chance to coach, he was never gonna be regarded as the best coach."
"Well done to Zwane and the rest of the management, Arthur is a good coach but at this point, we are done with gambling. We need a big fish someone like Baxter... No more experimenting kuyanyiwa manje we need to catch up."
SAFA won't block Baxter appointment
Earlier, Briefly News reported that the South African Football Association says it will not stop DStv Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs from hiring coach Stuart Baxter. Baxter has been heavily linked with a possible return to Naturena to replace Gavin Hunt, who was sacked last week.
The former Bafana Bafana manager’s name has been bandied about as the favourite to lead the Soweto giants next season. According to TimesLIVE, the Mzansi football governing body is not against the English man’s return to the local top-flight.
