A kindhearted couple in Tembisa, Gauteng, are going out of their way to feed the disadvantaged in their area, including Ivory Park.
Mpho and Simon Molekwa started the Life 4 You Foundation in 2013, Briefly.co.za gathered.
Through it, they provide food parcels and items such as maize meal, rice, sugar, teabags, cooking oil, soup, salt, tinned food, flour, samp, and maize rice.
The Foundation receives sponsorships from Iwisa Maize Meal, National Lottery Commission, the Widows Care Programme, and Oakmoor KMC Butchery.
Speaking to tembisan.co.za, Mpho said:
At Life 4 You Foundation, we are striving hard to ensure that poverty is alleviated and our community gets developed at all costs.
We believe the project is [a] God-chosen one to give hope to those who thought He has abandoned them. We care for the widows, orphans, foreign people, children, and elderly residents because our good Lord is great in the lives of His creation.
In addition to the feeding scheme, the Foundation also runs a computer centre that trains youths in the area in computer skills every Tuesday and Wednesday.
Although it aims to run the feeding scheme every day of the wee, it only runs it on Sundays because of financial constraints.
The Foundation is located at 303 21st March Street in Moriting Section. Its contact numbers are 011 051 8302 or 079 169 3705 or 079 596 9099. Its email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
