We're all suckers for a romantic wedding, especially if it's one on our favourite television shows.
A traditional wedding is more than a union of two people, it is the celebration of cultures. And, the popularity if these weddings spilled over onto the small screens.
So, Briefly.co.za gathered the top five traditional weddings in South African soapies.
1. Sphesihle and Mazwi on Generations
The couple were not really in love, but their wedding was something out of a fairy tale.
2. Zweli and Sihle on Isibaya
There was absolutely no modern element in Zweli and Sihle's wedding. The ceremony was 100% traditional, showing South Africa's youth how it's done.
3. Suffocate and Puleng on Rhythm City
Fans could not stop gushing over the wedding, which they said showed how beautiful the Zulu culture truly is.
4. Brutus and Harriet on The Queen
Those who watched Brutus and Harriet's wedding ceremony could testify that it was beautiful, despite the bride looking like she's going to a funeral instead of her wedding.
5. Lerato and Sechaba on Isidingo
Lerato and Sechaba's traditional Sotho/Tswana wedding on Isidingo was absolutely stunning. Fans even described it as being 'too perfect'.
