Angus Buchan organised an event at Mitchells Plain to pray. He said that “the Lord impressed very strongly on my heart that we need to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Mitchells Plain”.

Buchan said that the high levels of crime, drugs, prostitution, racism and the gap between the rich and the poor were some of the reasons Cape Town was experiencing the worst drought in the city's recorded history.

The event has been dubbed "It's Time" and Mitchells Plain was chosen because Buchan said that it is "the hottest place in South Africa".
