Local Man Graduates from University of London, Plans to Bring Skills to SA

A book-smart accountant is certainly giving Mzansi much cause for celebration after graduating from the University of London with a BCOM Accounting degree. What's more, he achieved the incredible feat with a cum laude pass to boast.

Sifiso Sithole has big plans to make a difference right here in SA

The determined graduate's name is Sifiso Sithole. The Master of Sciences says his research in the chosen field will aim to help alleviate youth unemployment in Mzansi. Not seeing himself as part of South Africa's ever-increasing brain drain, Sifiso also has plans to continue making a difference here at home.

He currently works as a lecturer at the University of Johannesburg.

"I look forward to utilising more of the business strategy and skills that I am currently obtaining in my PGDA(CTA) and from my PGDIP in law to solve the unemployment issue faced in SA," he charmingly writes.

Keeping it in the family: Father & daughter bag degrees on the same day

In more inspirational news, Briefly News previously reported that it’s always a big day when you celebrate your graduation but it becomes more special when you achieve it with your father.

That is the story of beautiful Lesego Sema, who recently qualified with a BCom degree in Accounting, and she is looking for a job. Sema’s story was profiled by Varsity World on Facebook and she says their day was very precious be cause her dad made it with an MBA degree.

"All I can say is this was a precious day. My dad was graduating with his MBA and me BCom Accounting. These were not the easy few years but definitely worth. I love him very much and I know nothing is impossible. At the moment I am currently looking for work and I know it will work out.”
