Starting out with her family on only two hectares of land in 2006, Lerato later took over what is now a blooming business in the Agriculture industry in Nigel, east of Gauteng.

Briefly.co.za gathered she underwent agriculture training at Buhle Farmer's Academy and Grain South Africa before she took over the small family farm, which they received after her family moved from a nearby township.

After completing her training, Lerato registered Senakhomo Farming. And, in 2016, she received 535 hectares from the government.

"It wasn't an easy term. I had to take loans and talk to my parents to raise funds for me to start and for me to be where I am today," Senakhomo reportedly told News24.

But, it was all worth it because now she has 800 goats and 72 Nguni cattle, and she additionally works with sheep, cattle, horses and chickens.

Lerato's talents in farming does not end there- she is also known to plant 100 hectares of white and yellow maize and sugar beans.

The young female is making such a success of her farm that she was gifted with a Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Female Entrepreneur Award last year
