Warner and Smith nowhere in sight as the Ozzie team leaves for home

When the Australian cricket team left their hotel to catch their bus to the airport for their flight back to Australia, the captain and vice-captain, Steve Smith and David Warner, were nowhere in sight.

Reports have suggested that the vice-captain and captain returned to Australia earlier after being caught up in the ball tampering scandal which sent seismic waves through the world of cricket.

Briefly.co.za learned that Cricket Australia said that all members of the Test squad are in South Africa while they conduct an internal investigation into the matter according to ewn.co.za.

The findings of the investigation are said to be released within the next 24 hours.

Australian cricket has taken some serious criticism for the scandal from all corners of the world and the government of Australia has called for the coach, Darren Lehmann, to resign.
