Late former president Nelson Mandela's ex-wife is teaming up with a company to sell blankets imported from China.
Ma Winnie Madikizela-Mandela is aiding a company selling blankets from China, which would be available in store and online from May, The Sowetan reported.
The politician was photographed posing with a blanket, which would cost R950 excluding courier fees.
According to the promo material, buying "the Mama Winnie Mandela commemorative blanket brings an icon to life again and comfort in your heart and home!".
The blankets would be imported to SA by Kingday Textiles, a company which Briefly.co.za learned had "a special relationship with Mama Winnie".
The company would launch would be held on 27 May in Diepkloof.
However, there is a good cause behind Winnie Mandela's endorsement. A portion of the proceeds of each blanket would go to Madiba's ex-wife's foundation, which aims to better the lives of the South African youth.
