Siphamandla Ndlovu: A son of poor parents believes oppression of any kind is wrong

A Twitter user, Siphamandla Ndlovu, with over 8 000 followers posted a powerful message on the social media platform on Wednesday.

He revealed that his parents so poor that school was a luxury they couldn't afford and had to work to support their families.

They suffered terribly under apartheid so that he, their son, could have a better life. He believes that the fight against apartheid was a fight against oppression.

Now he finds the current culture of celebrating the oppression of others within South Africa disgusting. He was referring to the debate surrounding land expropriation.

He laments the disregard for human life and how people are reduced to the colour of their skin rather than their humanity.

A Twitter user agreed with Ndlovu saying that they have become the oppressors and that it was the worst thing South Africa learned from apartheid.

Other users provided their own stories or were moved by Ndlovu's wise words.
