Showing the world South Africans are talented: 6 South African celebs making waves abroad

We know South Africans have crazy talent, but it's time for the world to see just how good we are.

And, some local celebs have decided to go and show the world what South Africans are made of, and of course make lots of money while doing it.

Briefly.co.za listed six of SA most well-known people, who are making it big overseas. And no, Charlize Theron is not on our list.

1. Trevor Noah

Trevor Noah is slaying it abroad, he is the host of one of the biggest talk shows, a bestselling author and now Hollywood is making a movie about his life, with Lupita Nyong’o playing his mother, Patricia.

Oh, and did we mention he has a hot American bae?

2. Cassper Nyovest

Nyovest did not even finish school, but apparently he did not need to. The successful rapper managed to fill stadium after stadium and now he's making it big in the States.

He was even the opening act for Kendrick Lamar and Nas. It's not long before he fills an Amercian stadium and they're opening for him.

3. Nomzamo Mbatha

Mbatha is one talented actress, and it does not hurt that she has a pretty face. The South African celeb is an ambassador for some of the biggest international brands, including Puma SA and Neutrogena SA.

4. Pearl Thusi

Another talented South African actress, who is leaving her mark on the international entertainment industry.

Thusi has appeared in the US series television series Quantico and she would star in the new Scorpion King movie alongside hunky American actor Zach McGowan.

5. Terry Pheto

Pheto had her break when she starred as Miriam in Tsotsi. These days she's a well-known actress, even appearing in US hit soapie The Bold and Beautiful.

6. Black Coffee

And finally we have DJ Black Coffee. He has been slaying it abroad. The South African hung out with some of the biggest international names and he even went on to perform at the Apollo Theater in the States.

He was most recently nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award, going up against huge international starts such as Taylor Swift, #BTS, Maluma, The Vamps and Zara Larsson.
