Grace Mugabe's farm invaded by hundreds of people

Grace Mugabe's Smithfield farm in Mazowe has been invaded by an estimated 400 illegal gold miners who have destroyed hundreds of thousands of rands worth of equipment and property.

The Smithfield farm invasion in the heart of the Mugabe's business empire is a direct threat to their farming activities.

Briefly.co.za learned that since the land seizures which started in the year 2000 over 4500 white farmers have been removed through force and plunged the country into hyperinflation as the agriculture output plummeted according to businesslive.co.za.

The Mazowe farm also houses an orphanage and a school. Grace Mugabe had reportedly tried to seize the dam in the area last year and denied access to the local villagers.

The illegal gold panners have destroyed and stolen farming and irrigation equipment according to the police report filed by the Mugabes.

Grace Mugabe holds a special grant for the entire area which allows her to mine gold there. The illegal miners have not left the property despite threats of legal action.
