South Africans paid tribute to the late Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in their own way, and one famous artist, Lebani Sirenje, decided he was going honour the mother of the nation by drawing her.
Sirenje has become a popular figure at celeb funerals, where he paints the deceased as part of him 'mourning' them.
He recently showed up at the late Ma Winnie's home to honour memory with a drawing. But, Sirenje did not receive the feedback he was hoping for.
Tweeps slammed his drawing of Nelson Mandela's ex-wife, claiming it did not do her justice. Some even went as far as to say it looked nothing like her and it was disrespectful.
Despite this setback, he remains a popular artist, who has drawn the likes of former president Nelson Mandela‚ Albertina Sisulu‚ gospel stars Lundi Tyamara and Sfiso Ncwane‚ among many others.
