Cassper Nyovest who in the past has had a few issues with rival AKA, had a bit of fun recently when running into an AKA lookalike at a barbershop
South Africa's favourite hitmaker and stadium fill upper, decided to have a little fun and show off his playful side then he bumped into AKA’s doppelganger.
Briefly.co.za gathers that Cassper recently shared a video on social media he says: “Look who I met at the barber,” while humming the beat of AKA’s hit single, Composure.
He then points his camera phone towards the barber who is in all honesty a dead ringer for AKA, proclaiming; “Hey man, I smaak that song Composure!”
The video which has been reshared many times by fans shows the AKA lookalike in the background who can be heard claiming that rapper, AKA looks like him, and not the other way around.
While some fans took the choice of song by Cassper as throwing shade at AKA who has been known to take pot shots various personalities in the industry, including Cassper, Riky Rick and his on-again,-off-again friend, fellow rapper Anatii.
However in so small a world as the South African music industry, there's simply not enough space for prolonged feuds. It seems that, much like Anatii, who went on to record a whole album with AKA, Cassper seems to be over their previous beef.
His barbershop video was innocent fun, but still don't hold your breath for a bromance to develop between the two either.
While AKA and Cassper were able to hug it out during the latter’s Fill Up Orlando Stadium concert in 2016, more recently AKA's attempts at extending peace offerings have been rebuffed.
When last year, AKA reached out to say he would like to perform at Cassper's Fill Up FNB Stadium in 2017, Cassper's retort was that he should just buy a ticket.
