All celebrities experience scandle. Zahara has faced a lot of negative media and accusations over the years, from unpaid bills to love scandals.

In an interview with Azania Mosaka, she expressed how she overcame the negative media and accusations and pushed forward to produce her album 'Mgodi'.

“They don't want to talk about facts. I like people who talk about facts. I am not giving up on music, I started with my cows back at home, I know the people that listen to me, the people at the village that need hope.”

“My mom told me the people that are writing about you, you are not there for them. She said are you here to be praised or here to inspire? I am here to inspire not to be praised.”
