SA duo takes gold and silver at the 100m final in Australia

Akani Simbine and Henricho Bruintjies won gold and silver respectively at the Commonwealth Games being held in Australia. The due sprinted to victory in 100m final.

Simbine, 24, registered a blistering 10.03 seconds and Bruintjies was not far behind with 10.17. The duo stunned the Jamaican superstar, Yohan Blake, who was also picked as the favourite for the race.

Briefly.co.za leraned that the winner, Simbine, raced away at the start and maintained an impressive lead for most of the race and Bruintjies denied the Jamaican a silver with a burst of pace at the end according to thesouthafrican.com.
