Concerned citizen Happy Mafumo, spoke up in defense of grant recipients at Tembisa plaza, when she noticed a Sassa officia being rude to them.

“I was on my way to Shoprite when I saw elderly people and mothers being chased away from getting their grant money. The official working at the Net 1 machine was insulting grant beneficiaries and when they complained, she said there was nothing they could do for her, they must just go away because she had her own errands to take care of.

"Beneficiaries said she always treat them bad. She chased the elderly people and the mothers away at 3pm when she is supposed to close at 5pm,” said Mafumo.

Briefly.co.za gathered that the Sassa official said people always report her, but nothing comes of it, allegedly because she works for the government, not Net 1.
