Former Generations actress Nambitha Mpumlwana has been nominated for Actress of the Year award in the 2018 Pan-African ADARA Awards.
Nambitha is the only South African in that category, Briefly.co.za learned.
The ADARA Awards are billed as Africa's biggest and most prestigious excellence awards. The actress has been sharing the news on her Twitter page.
The awards ceremony will be held on 27 May, 2018 at Gold Reef City, Johannesburg.
According to adaraawards.com, the ADARA's mission is to:
Capture the excellent work all Africans are doing and to bring to the attention of the world this work, by publicising and recognising it.
In her Twitter posts, Nambitha said she needs as many of her fans to vote for her. Her fans congratulated her and affirmed their support.
