Ntsiki tore the Mandela great grandchildren apart: ‘It's not cute when a black child only knows English’

Mama Winnie Madikizela Mandela’ memorial service was held at Orlando Stadium in Soweto yesterday. Her grandson gave a moving speech in her remembrance, but something just did not sound right.

If you watched the speech, you would have noticed that Ma Winnie’s grandson has a very different accent to what we were expecting.

Controversial poet and musician Ntsiki Mazwai was one who definitely noticed this. She is never shy to say it how it is and speak her mind and that is exactly what she did.

Ntsiki has no chill and she got right on it. She took straight to twitter to air her views and burnt the Mandela grandchildren and great grandchildren for having what she described as a “nasal twang” when they speak.

“The Mandela grandchildren and great grandchildren need to spend some time in a village so that they wake up from their nasal twang slumber.”

She went on and took it a step further as she does best, by slamming all parents who speak English to their children at home. She went as far as to label it “a form of abuse” as she feels it takes the child away from its people.

According to Ntsiki, it is not cute for black children to speak English.
