South Africans have been getting ready to say a final goodbye to the mother of the nation, including the soldiers of The South African Defence Force.

In heartwarming pictures, soldiers are seen doing their final preparations for Ma Winnie's funeral on Saturday.

Ma Winnie passed away on 2 April, and her death has shook the nation. Following her sudden passing, the country mourned in the most beautiful way- by celebrating her life and all she stood for.

From posting pictures inspired by Ma Winnie on Twitter under #AllBlackWithADoek to holding different memorial services in her honour.

But, the time approach to say goodbye, as the final preparations for her funeral set in place.
