- Doreen posted a photo of her post-pregnancy stretch marks
- Many praised her bravery, terming it inspiring
- However, some called the stretch marks "ugly"
A 23-year-old mom has urged people to be respectful of women after some called her post-pregnancy stretch marks "ugly."
Doreen Ching, from Malaysia, shared an image of her stretch marks after giving birth to quadruplets recently.
Many young mothers had approached her for suggestions on how to get rid of their stretch marks. She therefore wanted to urge them to embrace the marks as a normal part of pregnancy.
Doreen reminded new mothers that stretch marks are not something to be ashamed of:
This is the price even if you have money. There is no way to eliminate the traces.
Her followers commended her for her bravery and called it inspiring. See some of their comments below.
When some people called the marks "ugly," this is what Doreen said to them:
Do you have any respect for the women of the world, your mother, your wife, and a woman who can afford to have children?
Her post encouraged women not to feel insecure or worry too much about societal expectations of beauty.
