A lady from Pretoria, Gauteng, was left stunned when a government official allegedly told her that she has a right to choose whether to help her or not.
Lesedi shared her experience on Twitter on 16 April, Briefly.co.za learned. She posted a picture of the said official along with the caption:
She works for the department of basic education. She told me that she has a right to choose if she wants to help me or not. I was shook. This is the attitude I've been getting from 2015. It's 2018 and I still haven't received my certificate. Please help; I'm out of options.
Responding to a query by the Gauteng Department of Education, Lesedi gave further details about the incident:
