Graduation season is upon us and South Africans across the country is celebrating their big achievements.
Some students decided to make their graduation day not only about the academic achievment but a celebration of culture as well.

3. Esther Mahlangu receives her doctorate degree at UJ
The South African artist received her doctorate degree for her contribution to arts and culture throughout the years.
"We recognise Esther Mahlangu for her legacy as a cultural entrepreneur, skilfully negotiating local and global worlds, and as an educator.", said Professor Federico Freschi, executive dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (FADA) at UJ.

The stunning traditional outfits at graduation was only one element that made this graduation season extraordinary.
Briefly.co.za reported previously about a who brought her graduation to her granny because she was unable to make it.
In a touching video posted on Twitter she performs a dance for gran while the elderly lady sings, reminding us that the accomplishments of the youth mean a lot to the older generation.
