- Gogo Baloyi said she died on Monday night
- She claimed that she saw Jesus, who told her it wasn't her time to go
- Apparently, she came back to life, much to the shock of her children
A 69-year-old Gogo in Diepkloof, Soweto, claims that she passed away recently and saw Jesus before coming back to life.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Gogo Margaret Baloyi said she "died" on Monday night, 16 April. Her children gathered around her and paramedics certified her as dead, she claimed.
However, she allegedly started coughing, much to the absolute surprise of her children.
Gogo Baloyi's 48-year-old daughter, Kiki, said:
We called her name and she responded, but she seemed lost and had no idea where she was. I couldn’t accept my mum was dead.
I prayed like I had never before. I held her hand and begged God to return her to life. She told me she saw a tall man surrounded by bright light and he told her it wasn’t her time.

Gogo Baloyi expressed relief that she was given a second chance at life:
I saw a tall man, who said he was Jesus. He said it wasn’t time for me to go.
Daily Sun contacted Johannesburg emergency services to corroborate claims that paramedics had certified Gogo dead. Spokesman Robert Mulaudzi said he would investigate.
