For the past couple of weeks social media had been flooded with South Africans sharing their graduation moments, and it was amazing to say the least.

In many cases, families celebrated the first graduate in their long line of generations. Commenting on a graduation video, one tweep said it sometimes took an ‘entire generation just for one to cross over’.

Her tweet perfectly summed up the next graduation story. Photos of a young man honouring his grandma at his graduation has touched the hearts of tweeps.

The Medical imaging and Radiation sciences student, @ScuffBreeezy, took to social media to share photos of his graduation day. The pics showed the young man taking of his graduation attire so that his grandmother could wear it.

In his post, @ScuffBreeezy said he did the studying and his granny got to wear the gown, adding ‘nothing beats teamwork’.

Tweeps were in awe of the thoughtful gesture to his gogo.

“This is beautiful man, truly inspirational. Congratulations to the both of you”, one social media user responded.

Another pointed out he made his grandmother’s sacrifices all worth it.

It was not the first time a grandparent was honoured during the graduation season.

As reported previously, a video went viral on social media of a woman taking her graduation ceremony to her gogo, because she couldn’t make it.

“Highlight of my day: My gran could not come to my graduation, so I took it to her”, the young lady captioned her post.
