In his role as Banzi on Isithembiso, Hamilton Dlamini comes across as a cold and heartless man but as is often the case that couldn't be further from the truth.
His role in the critically acclaimed Five Fingers for Marseilles has placed him firmly on the acting map.
The actor shared his details of his family life and how important his wife is to him and how she helped him become the actor he is today.
Briefly.co.za learned that Dlamini has been married to his wife, Martha, for 23 years who works as a nutritionist. They met in the lift which serviced the block of flats that they lived in according to zalebs.co.za.

When they first met he was wearing an overall, a bucket hat and sneakers. He meekly greeted her feeling that she was out of his league.
" I just told her she was beautiful and that was that.."
A few weeks later the bumped into each other but this time he was wearing a snazzy suit and maaged to sum up the courage to ask her out. His timing was awful as she was unavailable at the time.
"I'd come from a corporate performance and I looked good but when I asked her out she said she already had a boyfriend. "
A few weeks later when he discovered that the boyfriend was no longer in the picture he tried to ask her out again, this time she accepted.
"I remember watching her cook pasta in my flat while listening to Youssou N'Dour and thinking, 'She'll one day be my wife.'"
23 years later and they are still happily married with three children, he credits his wife for his success, saying that it was because of her support he is where is today.
"My wife helped me avoid a lot of what actors go through - like alcoholism, drugs and adultery. I have a stable home - I go out and have a drink, but I know I have a family who loves and supports me. My wife tolerated my struggles and even when I didn't have a cent she supported me," said Hamilton.
