A Kenyan student in the United States has left tongues wagging after news emerged about her romantic relationship with an elderly American man.
The 21-year-old lady, Rahab Kimani, confirmed her relationship with her boyfriend, 54-year-old Joe Singiser, sending many reeling in shock over their outrageous age difference.
Speaking to Mail Online, Kimani disclosed she met Singiser through work at a nursing home in New Jersey. "I thought he was very attractive and immediately wanted him.I really liked his big muscles and that everyone at work was afraid of him," she said.
Despite being very comfortable on their first date, Kimani divulged it was hard to deal with her family as they disapproved her relationship.
"I just see him as my boyfriend and my best friend. If anything, the difference is that I take this relationship more seriously than previous ones. It took everyone a long time, but they are finally understanding of us being together," said the love struck woman.
Singiser, who is Kimani's supervisor at work is a father of four.
He revealed he was at first 'startled' when he got interested in his younger employee but decided to continue with the relationship because he knew it was true love.
He said he was attracted by her beautiful smile from across the room and would find excuses to come out of his office just to see her.
According to Kimani, she no longer sees the age difference, however, they attract stares from strangers on the streets.
"We get looks while in public all the time. Someone even approached me once and said I should be ashamed of myself because I just want his money. I did get sensitive but I just walked away," she said.
The lovebirds who have been dating for a year now, live together and are planning on starting a family together, having discussed possibility of marriage and children.
