Mabe was speaking to journalists after South African President Cyril Ramaphosa left London early to address the protest situation in Mahikeng, North West.

As Briefly.co.za reported previously, residents in Mahikeng and nearby villages conducted violent protests demanding that Premier Supra Mahumapelo resign immediately.

The ANC leadership held numerous meetings in the province over the weekend as they try and resolve what can be described as the worst protest action in North West till date.

So, in an attempt to tell South Africans what progress the ANC made, Mabe answered some questions from journalist.

And, when one asked him how the mood was in the room the meeting was held in, he gave an answer that had tweeps laughing out loud.

Mabe shouting it’s a “meeting mode” even had former spokesperson Zizi Kodwa, who was standing next to him, fighting to hold back his laughter.

South Africans took to social media to share their opinions on his answer, and they were certainly entertained.

One thing is for sure, if Mabe is not in a position to give citizens information, he’d certainly entertain them.
