Job Hunt Wednesday: Unemployed South Africans turn to social media for help

Unemployment is a major issue in South Africa, and people can no longer wait for the government to help, so they turn to social media.

Looking at the statistics of unemployment in South Africa is outright shocking. In 2017, 26.7% of all South African were left without a job. That equals roughly 5.88 million people without work and without an income.

Now, we know Cyril Ramaphosa is hard at work to find solutions to the problem, he even announce the new Youth Employment Service (YES), which aims to create 1 million paid internships for young people.

However, South Africans have grew impatient which led to thousands taking to social media to try and find a job.
