It has been alleged that the Boeremag has ties to a cabal that has been operating at the State Information Technology Agency (SITA). At a meeting on Wednesday, executive director of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID), Robert McBride announced to stunned members of the Standing Committee of Public Accounts (SCOPA) that he had tabled these concerns to previous police commissioners. He went on to allege that nothing had been done at the time.

At the meeting, DA MP Tim Brauteseth named Arnie Venter, Rachel Venter, Christo de Bruyn and Yolanda Potgieter to Sitole and SITA CEO Setumo Mohapi as well as Andre du Toit, currently serving a jail sentence for treason. He added that the named men were in contact with du Toit and were supporting him financially.

This was confirmed by ITA CEO Setumo Mohapi who stated that they had discovered last year that the listed people had made use of SITA’s laptops and networks in their dealing with du Toit

As this can of worms continues to unravel it is becoming clear that there are more people involved than those already mentioned. The Boeremag and FDA contracts, which are also currently being questioned, have been called a “threat to national security”.

"The minister, SAPS and other stakeholders have been duly warned about the risks involved, but have acquiesced regardless of the impacts," it read.

Christian churches in Africa are huge. So are the pastors. One pastor’s charisma and divine calling unites and educates people in the church community. Unfortunately, some shameless individuals make it extra difficult to tell apart divine miracles and deliberate deception. Be careful with who and what you believe in!
