Iconic TV series Yizo Yizo to be made a film - but tweeps aren’t happy

- Yizo Yizo will soon be turned into a film

- However, fans are largely unhappy about the move

- Some also protested the inclusion of new cast members

One of South Africa's most iconic TV series, Yizo Yizo, is set to be turned into a feature-length film, Briefly.co.za understands.

Aluta Film Festival made the announcement on Twitter recently. It accompanied the announcement with a poster of the film.

Some of the stars included in the cast are Menzi Ngubane, Pearl Thusi, Connie Chiume, and Thapelo Mokoena.

Fans not entirely happy.

However, fans of Yizo Yizo are not entirely happy about the decision to make a movie out of the series.

Some also protested the inclusion of new cast members who weren't part of the old series. See some of their reactions on Twitter below.
