Supra Mahumapelo unfazed by requests for him to stand down

According to sources, top officials from the ANC have asked the premier of the North West Province, Supra Mahumapelo, to step down amid the violent protests which have gripped the province over the past few weeks.

Mahumapelo says that he is not concerned about the reports and he is still the same Supra that people know.

Briefly.co.za learned that the national working committee met on Wednesday to discuss the premier and the allegations of corruption against him which have resulted in violent protests and demands that he be removed by angry residents according to ewn.co.za.

Spokesperson Susan Dantjie says: “He is not concerned. He is fine; he’s the normal Supra that we know.”

According toe Dantjie the permier is only concerned about the protests and destruction of property in the province. She added that Mahumapelo understands that he is a deployee of the ANC and as such can be recalled.
