- Cristiano Ronaldo has threatened to leave Real Madrid if Benzema is sold
- The Frenchman has been rumoured with a move away from Spain
- Real Madrid will play Barcelona in a La Liga match at the Camp Nou
Real Madrid main man, Cristiano Ronaldo, has said that he would leave the club if they sell Karim Benzema in the summer, Don Balon reports.
According to the Spanish outlet, Ronaldo has told Madrid chiefs he will have no choice but to consider his future if the Frenchman is sold at the end of the season.
Benzema has been at the club for almost a decade and has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in recent weeks.
The arrival of Robert Lewandowski or Mauro Icardi this summer could spell the end of Benzema's time in Spain.
However, Don Balon claimed Ronaldo has backed his long term teammate to stay and help fire the club back to the top of La Liga next season.
Reports from Spain said the Portuguese star admitted he wanted to leave the Spanish capital last summer but has since changed his mind.
And Ronaldo has insisted he was ready to put pen in paper on a new deal at Madrid as his current deal runs out in 2021.
Ronaldo has 24 La Liga goals in 25 match matches this season and has notched up 15 Champions League strikes.
Zinedine Zidane's side will be playing another El Classico fixture against champions Barcelona at the Nou Camp on Sunday, May 6.
Los Blancos are aiming to win a third successive Champions League title on a row when they play Liverpool in the final in Kiev.
