Julius Malema almost had National Assembly house chairperson for internal arrangements Thoko Didiza bursting out in laughter while he spoke of the old age of Parliament members.
Juju was speaking after he had been sworn in as a member of the Pan African Parliament (PAP), of which Didiza was also part.
The EFF leader spoke about how 50% of the Parliament should be women, adding of which most should be young people.
It was when he brought up the ages of Parliament members where he almost had Didiza in stitches.
“And the old age will even be determining plans, calling them 2030 plans, 2063 plan, knowing very well they won’t be here,” he was heard saying.
Juju then added, “So we need the young ones who will put a plan which they will know that if they do not implement they will still be held accountable in 2063, in 2030."
“How do you hold a 70-year-old accountable in 2063? Nature will not allow for that person to be around at that time,” Malema said in closing.
During these remarks, Didiza is clearly seen fighting off a chuckle, and although she did not laugh out loud, she could not hide her amusement.
