Fans were left hopeful after a short groom tied the knot to a woman much taller than him. Bathandwa and Nokubonga tied the knot in a beautiful Xhosa inspired wedding, despite all eyes being on their size difference.

The pair met at work and it was love at first sight- after only one date, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

The couple obviously did not care what people thought about their height difference, and it was exactly this that inspired South Africans.

Taking to social media, fans of the hit Mzansi show commented on how proud they were of the couple for not letting anything get between them and by doing so they broke a long-standing stereotype.

"#OurPerfectWedding thina aboshortie know how to love guys God didn't give us height but love instead Receive mzalwane", one tweep wrote.

Some ladies even started to re-evaluate their life choices and think about the guys they said no to just because of physical features.

However, not all the ladies were persuaded by Bathandwa and Nokubonga's love to throw aside their physical preferences.
