Formally known as the Costume Institute Gala, the Met Gala - also called the Met Ball - is a yearly fundraising event that is held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in the Big Apple - New York City.
The Met Gala is an event that is looked forward to by everyone, especially those who like to dress extravagantly. It is always held on the first Monday of March and marks the grand opening of the yearly fashion exhibit of the Costume Institution.
The hosts of this year's Met Gala was Donatella Versace, Rihanna, Stephen and Christine Schwarzman, Amal Clooney and Anna Wintour.
2018's gala theme was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination". With a theme like that, things were bound to get interesting and strange.
Fortunately, South African comedian Trevor Noah kept things classy with a simple outfit that had a silver cross on one arm. Needless to say, he looked absolutely dashing.
South Africa loved Trevor's look and attitude to bits.
