A four-year-old boy became a local hero when he used the allowance he received to feed the homeless people in Birmingham, Alabama in the USA.
Austin Perine’s heart was touched after he learned what being homeless entailed while watching a television show about Pandas.
So, the little boy asked his parents to give him the money they would use for toys and his pocket money so that he could help out those in need.
Perine and his father went to visit the areas in their neighbourhood where the most homeless people could be found.
There the little four-year-old gave each of them a sandwich and cooldrink, reminding them to show love.
And just when we thought the story could not get any cuter, Briefly.co.za learned the little boy called himself ‘president Austin’.
His father explained the reason behind his choice of a name was because that’s what the four-year-old believed head of states should be doing.
“I was like, buddy, you have no idea, but hey, I’m going along with it.”, said the father, TJ Perine.
Homeless people truly have a place in the young hero’s heart. When Steven Hartman asked Perine why he wanted to help other so much, his response warmed the hearts of many.
“You know what Mr Steve, it’s just the right thing to do!”, he answered.
