Actor Cornet Mamabolo dreamt of empowering the people of his village, and he now achieved the goal.
The Skeem Saam actor finished a library in his community in Maripathekong, GaMolepo, in Limpopo, that took three years to build.
The 28-year-old actor, who plays Thibos on the hit soapie, worked with a team from the Cornet Mamabolo Foundation.
The library is set to launch on Friday at its new location in the Boshega Primary School. However, there is a few finishing touches Mamabolo and his team should tend to before its grand opening- which included shelves for books they have received.
"We needed books that will speak to the youth and will be fascinating for the actual community, because we are dealing with a community that is not used to reading, or used to going to the library."
Mamabolo also partnered up with the University of Limpopo, the National Library and several individuals who found books for the library.
"Education is the basis of everything. I don't think I would be where I am and speak the way I am speaking if it was not for education. The idea is for them to get a taste of it," he said
