- Jub Jub used to be a presenter on Channel O on SABC
- His new show, Uthando noxolo, will air in May 2018 on Moja Love Channel 157
- Apparently Jub Jub has been offered other parts, but declined them
Former Channel O presenter Jub Jub has announced he will be starring in a new show set to air for the first time in May 2018 on the Moja Love Channel 157. The show is called Uthando noxolo which means love and forgiveness.
Jub Jub has apparently been offered various other roles, but showed no interest in them. He commented that this show speaks well to what he is trying to achieve in his personal life, that being love and forgiveness.
“I took this project because to me it's not really about the show but about the importance of teaching people forgiveness and connecting with them,” said Jub Jub.
Jub Jub’s career
Jub Jub is better known for his role as a presenter on the Channel O show. He has always been a natural performer and his family fondly remembers him as a toddler singing and doing side-splits. He first came into the public eye at the age of 10 when he took part in an Inkomazi sour cream advert. As a teenager he won a place in a Performing Arts school and was later seen in shows like Jam Alley and Channel O. He then changed his focus to music, specifically hip hop and as a Rap MC. Jub Jub’s rise to fame was cut short when he and a friend were arrested for killing four school children in a drag racing incident. The two received 20 years, which was later changed to 10 years, with 2 suspended.
Since his release, Jub Jub has commented that he is grateful for a second chance. Briefly.co.za gathers that perhaps this new role is as close to the star’s mindset as he says it is. To come back from what he has, and to be moving forward, definitely takes plenty of love and forgiveness.
