The conventional romantic dinner can get really old, so we have taken the time out to highlight three fun and unique date ideas in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town, that wont leave your wallet dry.
1. Walk on the Sky at Moses Mabhida Stadium

Founded in the 1930’s by Arthur Thornton, Durban Fun World started out as a miniature steam train ride and is now fully functioning world of fun right aside the ocean. The cableway was added in 1970 and still offers a beautiful view of the ocean for that romantic moment. Entrance is free and tickets for the rides are sold separately at the kiosk.

3. Pretville at Hartbeespoort
This is a small 60s-Americana-themed town is perfect for snapping selfies with your other half. It was originally a movie set. There are rooms and scenes set up all over with old cars and plenty of antiques thrown in too. Cost R60pp.

This will definitely make your bae’s heart melt. Boulders Beach is where you can see the famous and incredibly cute penguins. Cost R70pp.
2. Spend an afternoon with a rescue dog
DARG in Hout Bay does amazing work for abandoned and neglected dogs. They provide food and shelter for some of the city’s cutest hounds, and they encourage members of the public to get involved and help out. A brilliant way to show your other half your soft side whilst giving back to pooches in need.
3. Picnic in Kirstenbosch Gardens
Kirstenbosch Gardens is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in the city. It is the perfect place to take bae on a picnic and score some serious brownie points. Cost R65pp.
